It runs on 240V and pulls 1300W, which basically means it blasts out concentrated infrared heat the second you flip the switch. If you’re setting up heating arrays for the winter and can’t stand waiting around for things to warm up, this is your go-to. The power side of things At 1300W, you’re getting a ton of heat per inch. Since it works with a standard 240V circuit, you can just wire it in. No need to mess around with bulky, expensive transformers. Then there’s the glass. We used a Ruby-tinted quartz envelope. Why the ceramic base matters The lamp uses an R7s ceramic interface. We went with ceramic because, honestly, plastic just can’t handle the heat. These things expand and contract as they get hot, and ceramic doesn’t warp or melt when things get intense. It makes replacing your old industrial heaters a breeze. Just a quick tip: if your sockets are looking worn out, you might see some sparking. Definitely double-check your contacts before you plug everything in. A few things to keep in mind These lamps are fast. Like, instantly hot fast. That’s why they’re great for spot heating or keeping a workspace warm in the dead of winter. But here’s the catch: 1300W in a small tube getsextremelyhot. Make sure you give the housing plenty of breathing room so you don’t accidentally scorch your other gear. And please, stick to the 240V spec. If you try to over-drive the voltage, you’ll fry the filament way sooner than you should. Keep it steady, and the lamp will last.
