If you’re running a PET blowing line, you can’t just use any heater. The wavelength of the light has to actually “fit” the polymer. No More Melted Sockets
We use high-purity fused quartz because things get hot—really hot. Cheap lamps use low-grade glass that cracks the moment you cycle the power. We also stick to standard connectors like R7s or Sk15. It sounds like a small detail, but a loose fit creates a hot spot. And a hot spot is a shortcut to a melted socket and a dead production line. Nobody wants that phone call at 3 AM.
One Thing to Watch Out For
Here’s the catch: these lamps put out a massive amount of energy. They aren’t magic; they still generate waste heat. If you install high-density heaters, make sure your oven’s ventilation can actually handle it. If you don’t pull the heat away from the ends of the lamp, you’ll fry the filaments way too soon. At the end of the day, using precision lamps just means you’re spending fewer kWh for every single piece you ship. When energy prices jump, your margins stay safe.
