Getting the Balance Right
High-wattage quartz tubes give you the heat you need, but they take a beating in tough environments. Now, swapping out a tube is the easy part. The tricky bit is making sure the new lamp is wired up perfectly so it doesn’t burn out immediately. We provide replacements that fit right into your existing setup, but you’ve got to keep an eye on your contact points. If there’s oxidation at the terminals, you get more resistance.And that’s what kills the lamp early. Look, I won’t tell you we have a “perfect” system. Quartz lamps have a lifespan; they eventually wear out. But the point is that when they do, your production shouldn’t grind to a halt for a month while some corporate office approves a travel request.
