If you need something that gets hot—and gets hot fast—this is the lamp for the job. We built this specific 354mm halogen bulb for those high-intensity setups where you can’t afford to wait around for things to warm up. It uses shortwave infrared, which is basically a fancy way of saying it shoots energy straight into your material. It doesn’t waste time heating up the air around it first. It just hits the target. The Power Stuff Running at 440V with a 1500W output puts a lot of pressure on the quartz envelope. We do this on purpose. By pushing the tungsten filament to these extremes, we get that piercing shortwave radiation. You’ll usually see these wired up in big industrial grids. Whether they’re in series or parallel, the goal is the same: keep that wattage steady across the whole heating zone so you don’t get cold spots. What’s Under the Hood? We use high-purity quartz because, frankly, these things go through a lot of thermal shock. One minute they’re off, the next they’re screaming hot. Inside, there’s halogen gas. This is the secret sauce that stops the tungsten from evaporating and clouding up the glass. It keeps the tube crystal clear, which means you actually get the 1500W you paid for, even after a long time in service. Oh, and we use R7s or other heavy-duty connectors. Why? Because at this current, cheap connectors just arc and burn out. These stay put. Real-World Use (And a Warning) You’ve probably seen these in shrink-wrap tunnels or PET bottle blowing machines. Since 354mm is a pretty standard size for oven frames, it’s usually a simple drop-in replacement when your old tubes finally give up. But here is the thing:watch your reflectors. A 1500W tube puts out an incredible amount of heat. If your reflectors are pitted, oxidized, or just dirty, they can’t bounce that energy back. The lamp then has to work harder to make up for the loss, which kills the filament way faster than it should. Keep those reflectors polished. Your lamps will last longer, and your production stays smooth.
