If you go with a high-voltage setup, you can cram more power into a smaller space. That means you get a much faster ramp-up time. But a word of warning—watch your power supply. That initial cold-start surge can be a beast, and if your system isn’t ready for it, you’ll be replacing blown fuses before you even get started. Because they put out so much heat, the quartz is surprisingly temperamental.**One single fingerprint on the glass can ruin everything.**The oil from your skin creates a “hot spot,” and that’s usually when the tube burns out way too early. So, do yourself a favor: always wear gloves. Keep your reflectors spotless. It’s the only way to make sure your heat profile stays exactly where you want it.
